Hey, that’s me!

My name is Juliana Paiva. I’m a Brazilian expat living in Amsterdam for almost 13 years.

I’ve got a Bachelor’s in Industrial Design from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro working with product since my second semester. After a couple of years of working after graduation I’ve decided to do my Master’s in the University of Amsterdam. There, I’ve graduated in New Media and Digital Culture and started working in digital products ever since. what stood out to me the most in my study experience is the contact with people and how to solve real problems for real people.

I’ve experience working from startups to large companies in cross-disciplinary teams of designers, developers and product owners. My favorite part of working as a product designer is to be able to see the product from end to end, participating in the user research, ideation, prototyping, pixel perfect design and product iteration. I love to work closely with product owners and developers to find solutions that help the user and are also feasible and innovative.

In my free time I do ceramics (check my instagram), I love to cook, hike and camping and all kinds of arts and crafts.
